KLANG – The new Selangor executive council was sworn in today at Istana Alam Shah in Klang before Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

The new exco line-up is made up of three assemblymen from PKR, four from DAP, two from Amanah and one from Barisan Nasional (Umno).

The PKR excos are Fahmi Ngah (Seri Setia), Najwan Halimi (Kota Anggerik) and Borhan Aman Shah (Tanjung Sepat).

DAP excos are Ng Sze Han (Kinrara), Ng Suee Lim (Sekinchan), Jamaliah Jamaluddin (Bandar Utama) and Papparaidu Veraman (Banting).

Amanah excos are Izham Hashim (Pandan Indah) and Anfaal Saari (Taman Templer).

The BN member is Sg Air Tawar assemblyman Rizam Ismail.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari was sworn in for a second term earlier this morning.

BN’s entry into the state exco line-up is significant as it is the first time since 2008 that the coalition will be involved in the state’s administration.

In the recent state election, the Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional alliance won 34 out of 56 seats, enabling it to form a simple-majority government.

DAP won 15 seats, PKR 12, Amanah five and BN two. – The Vibes, August 21, 2023
