PETALING JAYA – Malaysians on Twitter had a ball several days ago when Beyoncé's fan X (formerly Twitter) account promoting the Renaissance World Tour dropped a photo of her decked in green latex and leather, lying down while holding a white light ball.

With the post hitting over 3.7 million views, it was only a matter of time before the account's administrator would drop a reaction, particularly since it would be safe to assume they had no idea what the jokes meant.

The account however is not associated with the singer, and is just a fan account.

The white light ball resting against a green background made Malaysians immediately think of PAS.

The account administrator today reshared the post, asking: "What do the comments under this post mean?"

Clearly they have been left perplexed over the reaction considering another photo of the singer, whose full name is Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, shared the same day, only garnered over 71,000 views.

The number of Malaysians making PAS jokes has obviously made them wonder what was happening.

The replies to the photo were swamped by users sharing photos of PAS memes, flags and the replicas the party is famous for.

The new post is closing in on one million views with many Malaysians again swarming the tweet to explain.

Activist and lawyer Azira Aziz replied, "It's a reference to Malaysian right wing conservative Islamic political party's flag, PAS. It's green with a big white round shape."

User @ayinasyra said, "Malaysians! Look at what you've done!"

Meanwhile @stfusanss said: "You don't want to know, trust me."

"Malaysians went international," tweeted @zafranmustafa. — The Vibes, September 24, 2023
