MIRI - Search teams from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department have successfully rescued seven women who got lost in the Giam Waterfall jungle near the Bakam subdistrict about 30 kms from here last night.

The seven got lost after venturing into the jungle while heading towards the waterfall late yesterday, the department said.

The Bomba Storm Unit, police and village volunteers searched the forest till late last night and found all the seven safe and unhurt.

The search teams guided the women out of the forest after about seven hours of searching.

At about 5am, the search team said all the seven were safely taken to the Kampung Bakam area.
