MOSCOW – A bus with students, their parents, and teachers plunged into a 20m-deep ravine in the Indonesian province of West Java, killing at least 22 people, the Sputnik news agency quoted Indonesian media reports today.

According to the Jakarta Globe newspaper, the incident took place in the city of Subang.

The bus was carrying 58 people, who were heading to the city of Tasikmalaya for a pilgrimage.

Local emergency services said the death toll could increase.

The cause of the incident is under investigation. – Bernama, March 11, 2021
