SINGAPORE – Singapore yesterday reported its 36th Covid-19 fatality, involving an 84-year-old local woman.
“She was confirmed infected on June 15. She had not been vaccinated against Covid-19, and had a history of cancer, hypertension and hyperlipidaemia,” said the Health Ministry in its report last night.
Labelled Case No. 64,255, the woman was tested for the coronavirus as part of the republic’s community surveillance for visitors to the 115 Bukit Merah View market.
Prior to this, the last time Singapore recorded a virus death was on Monday.
As of noon yesterday, the country’s total caseload stood at 62,530, of whom 62,181 patients have recovered.
There are 143 still in hospital, with four in intensive care.
Thirty-nine clusters remain active, with the largest being the 115 Bukit Merah View Market & Food Centre cluster at 89 infections. – Bernama, June 27, 2021
