JOHOR BARU – OSB Global Resources Sdn Bhd aims to produce some 1,000 burger entrepreneurs nationwide this year, especially from among the youth as well as among those whose incomes have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Chief executive officer Muhammad Dinie Mohamed said to reach this target, the company is offering two packages – a RM5,000 budget package and a RM10,000 medium package.
“The company will provide the stall, equipment, e-wallet, device as well as guidance,” he said in a statement today.
Formerly an officer at the Fire and Rescue Department, Dinie, 31, had set up the company with his wife, Nur Khalijah Zaidan, 30, back in 2014.
Since then, the company has produced 103 burger entrepreneurs, with 100 burger stalls throughout Johor and three in Melaka, he said.
“A total of 86 of the burger stalls are run by entrepreneurs guided by OSB Global Resources, while the rest are managed by the company’s staff,” he said, adding that the company plans to expand to Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Negri Sembilan, while strengthening its brand in their home state.
Today, the company’s own landmark building, Wisma OSB in Iskandar Puteri, was officiated by Johor Investment, Entrepreneur Development, Cooperatives and Human Resources Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Izhar Ahmad.
Izhar said the state government welcomes those interested in venturing into the business field, and is providing various business grants and incentives for the people, especially for those whose incomes are affected by the ongoing pandemic. – Bernama, March 28, 2021
