WINNER of ContentAsia Awards’ Best Quarantine-Themed  Drama/Feature/Programme last year, the smash hit series SMK is back again with season 3 on Astro Ceria  (CH611).

In this latest installation, the SMK gang takes on the topic of online learning from home, exploring the challenges through hilarious stories and heartwarming family comedy. As schools continue to remain closed under the movement control order (MCO), the students will try to cope with #stayhome life and learn what it means to be there for their friends while being apart.

Joining the original cast of SMK this season are newcomers, Fara Nadiah and Kiwi Chong. Fara plays Zaitun Zubaidah or better known as Zizi, a Kedah born kampung girl who is Alya’s (played by Erissa Puteri) cousin. Although Zizi can be occasionally blur and sloppy, she is a tech whiz and is great at martial arts and has a kind heart.

Meanwhile, Kiwi plays Suzi Wong, the new neighbour in town whose father is an up-and coming film director and producer. Suzi is naturally gifted at sports and loves the limelight and will not shy away from any opportunity to be in front of the camera.

Cecilia Wong, Astro Ceria channel manager said: “As the leader of children entertainment content in Malaysia, Astro Ceria always strives to present the best content that is suitable for the whole family.

"The success of the first two seasons of SMK and SMK Study Squad makes us excited to produce this third season. It is a token of our appreciation to the fans who have been loyally supporting the series.

"This third season promises even more exciting and entertaining adventures because we are featuring many new names. Among those present are popular and beloved actors and singers Nabila Razali, Emelda Rosmila, Zain Hamid and comedian, Nizam Jentik-Jentik.

"We need to be sensitive and concerned about the situation of children and parents, especially in facing the challenges of implementing PdPR in their respective homes. That is why the production team have raised this topic about life under the new norm in this season of SMK, and we expressed this through fairly relaxed scenes loaded with comedic elements.

"Our hope is that we all remain strong through this phase and believe that #KitaTeguhBersama. We hope you and your family  are entertained with this third season of SMK. Enjoy watching. ”

Apart from the new actors, the third season of SMK also features Wafiy, Erissa Puteri, Mia Sara, Fikry,  Rykarl, Aniq and many more. The series, containing six episodes in total, is directed by Shamyl Othman and is produced by Redcomm.

SMK S3 is set to premier starting August 25, with new episodes airing every Wednesday at 9pm on Astro Ceria HD (CH611). All episodes will be available for streaming via On Demand and Astro GO, anytime, anywhere.
