ACTOR Benjy Ibrahim, best known for films such as Baginda and Gangsterock, as well as television shows such as Astana Idaman, Kerana Cintaku Saerah and Kasih Suci, reportedly died in a hospital in Medan, Indonesia at 11am today. He was 42.
The son of the late actress Azean Irdawaty had long suffered from asthma before being hospitalised.
According to Benjy's father, Khairil Anwar Zainal Mukhtar Rashidi, he received the news after being contacted by a friend of his son. Benjy's funeral will be completed in Medan.
In a statement sent to the media and shared on social media, Benjy's family said that he had long suffered from chronic asthma in addition to other lung complications.
