TAKE a deep dive into the thoughts and personal archive of the legendary filmmaker through an exclusive, one-night-only virtual ‘Tim Burton's Master Class’.
Datuk Kamil Othman, chairman of the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas), will be the special guest moderator.
Burton was scheduled for a physical masterclass in Kuala Lumpur last month. But, after testing Covid-19 positive before his departure, the masterclass was inevitably postponed.
After a much-awaited recovery, Burton is ecstatic to meet his fans virtually this Friday (April 14) from 9pm (GMT+8 Malaysia time) onwards. A link will be provided before the event.
Supported by Toybox Projects, the world-class pop-up museum and exhibition The World of Tim Burton debuted in Malaysia on March 21. It will be open to the public until July 30.
To celebrate this auspicious occasion, Burton will tell his story on the art of films, his unique creative processes, and the road to becoming a household name in the entertainment and film industry.
The filmmaker is well-known for films such as Alice in Wonderland, Edward Scissorhands, Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, and the recent hit TV series Wednesday.
Toybox Projects aims to contribute to the Malaysian entertainment industry by bringing these projects to current and aspiring filmmakers, creatives, young adults, and students of the film and art industry.
Burton and Kamil hope to inspire Malaysians by providing knowledge, creative input, film tips, and tricks, to drive individuals to achieve their aspirations and develop quality films and artworks.
