KUALA LUMPUR – The Damanlela construction site cluster here has recorded another 568 Covid-19 infections, reported the Health Ministry today.

They are among the 1,772 new cases registered nationwide.

Kuala Lumpur saw the most cases at 696, followed by Selangor (503), Sabah (260) and Perak (110).

Meanwhile, Negri Sembilan recorded 67 cases, followed by Johor (48), Penang (35), Kedah (20), Labuan (11), Pahang (8), Terengganu (7), Melaka (5) and Kelantan (3).

Another three virus fatalities were recorded, taking the death toll to 422.

The three victims were from Sabah.

Putrajaya, Sarawak and Perlis detected no infections today.

Additionally, 118 infections are being treated in intensive care while 56 are on ventilators. 

While no new clusters were detected today, the Health Ministry announced that the Istimewa cluster and Sepanggar cluster in Sabah are no longer active.

Of today’s total, 120 cases are from the Tembok cluster, Jalan Harapan Prison (15) and Bakti cluster (six).

As of today, the Covid-19 tally stands at 86,618 cases, with 14,515 cases still active. 

Meanwhile, the total recovery tally is 71,681 after the ministry confirmed 1,084 recoveries today. – The Vibes, December 15, 2020
