PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said an announcement on the cabinet reshuffle will be made today.

He said it would be made between 10.30 and 11am.

“AT 2.30pm, I will be at Istana Negara,” he said.

Speaking to reporters after the Finance Ministry’s monthly assembly, Anwar said there would be some changes, but it would be smaller than the previous cabinets.

It was earlier reported that several new ministers were allegedly informed of a swearing-in rehearsal at Istana Negara.

This comes a year after the formation of the unity government under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Anwar had previously hinted that the reshuffle would likely be done before the end of the year.

Currently, the domestic trade and cost of living portfolio is vacant following the death of Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub on July 23.

The highly anticipated reshuffle is expected to see the return to cabinet of several senior MPs who had previously served as ministers. – The Vibes, December 12, 2023.
