GLOBAL Ikhwan Service and Business Holding (GISBH) today revealed that there have been cases of sodomy in the organisation previously.
In a video posted on the company’s social media account, company CEO Nasiruddin Ali said the cases were addressed internally as GISBH recognised that they were a legal offence.
However, he did not provide details about the offence or identify the parties involved.
“There have indeed been one or two cases of sodomy but why do you want to generalise them all?” he said in the two minute 15 second video.
On Wednesday, police raided 20 welfare homes in Selangor and Negri Sembilan which authorities had linked to GISBH.
According to the police, 402 children were rescued and investigations showed that at least 13 of them were allegedly sodomised or taught to sexually assault others.
The authorities also arrested 171 people, including an ustaz and a hostel warden.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain told the New Straits Times today that police have 39 more welfare homes under GISB on their radar as the probe into the company over alleged child exploitation and abuse continues.
"The 39 welfare homes are all over the country," he said, not ruling out the possibility of further action by the police, following the raid on Wednesday.
GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd had earlier denied the allegations and any connection to the case. – September 14, 2024
