SARAWAK Pakatan Harapan is on strong footing heading into the coming state election following the decision by the state DAP to retain Chong Chien Jen as its chairman.

State PKR chairman Roland Engan said that Chong, who is also Sarawak PH chief, has strong leadership qualities.

"We in Sarawak PH are confident that the strong leadership of Chong will be a key asset in helping PH do well in the coming state polls.

"Sarawak PKR, Sarawak Parti Amanah and Sarawak DAP are cooperating very well.

"We have high confidence in this state," Roland said in a statement.

Sarawak DAP had retained its hardworking and vocal chairman Chong as state party chairman for the 2024-2027 term unopposed during its party convention in Kuching.

This means that the Padungan state assemblyman and MP for Stampin will lead Sarawak DAP into the coming state election due in 2026. - December 4, 2024
