NEGERI Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun is prepared to defend his PRK vice-president’s post at the party elections scheduled in May, reported Bernama.

He said that it would be a tough election as PRK was the component party heading the Unity Government at the federal level and expected many leaders who had the potential to vie for the position.

"...it’s hard to say if I have a shot, as we all know when you form the government, many will offer to contest the vice presidency.

"But this party practises democracy, win or lose, it’s part of how it is in a big family,” he told reporters at a breaking fast event in his official residence lasy night.

He also confirmed having sent his online candidacy today to defend the Port Dickson branch chairmanship for the second term, adding that there was no restriction on anyone to contest as the party practises democracy and it would be up to the voters to decide.

Aminuddin, who was Tampin PKR division head since 2018, confirmed that he had transferred his party membership to the Port Dickson division since end January 2022.- March 15, 2025
