A GRAB rider in Johor Bahru which has been hit by floods, had to go beyond his call of duty when he was called by a woman for a delivery.

According to reports in mStar, when he got to the destination, he was given an envelope with a key inside and asked to call a particular person.

"I later found out that the woman actually called me to help get her Myvi out of the floods.

"How was I supposed to do that," he quipped.

In a TikTok video, he revealed pictures of a green Myvi which was stuck in floodwaters.

However, he said he managed to get the help of a 'brother India' and together they managed to move the car to a safe location.

"We did not start the engine but together managed to push the car to a safe location.

"Looks like she ordered GrabExpress to help he move her car ... luckily, there was this 'brother India' to help me," he said.

Responding to netizens, he said he did receive a tip from the woman but did not say how much.

Netizens praised the Grab rider for going out of his way to help the woman.

"Looks like Grab riders now also have to perform duties of a fireman," read one comment. - March 22, 2025
