MOTORISTS will enjoy a two-day 50% discount on toll charges in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri, announced Works Minister Alexander Nanta Linggi.

The discount would be in effect from 12.01am this Friday until 11.59pm the following day.

"The discounts will cost the government about RM19.69 million in compensation to the toll concessionaires.

"It will only apply to Class 1 private vehicles and will not apply to tolls at the country’s borders, namely the Sultan Iskandar Building and Tanjung Kupang toll plazas," he said in a statement.

"This toll discount is a continuation of the assistance provided by the government during major festive seasons since 2023," he said.

He also urged highway users to plan their journeys wisely to avoid traffic congestion during the long holiday. - March 26, 2025
