THE Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) divisional elections results are expected to be finalised by May 5, following a thorough review of all objections, according to Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa, the chairman of the Party Election Committee (JPP).

Dr Zaliha emphasised that this review will be conducted with care, fairness, and transparency to uphold the integrity of the party's elections, which are set to advance to the national level this May.

She noted that the Central Leadership Council (CLC) has acknowledged the latest report from the 2025 Central Election Committee (CEC) regarding the procedures for addressing the objections related to the recent divisional election outcomes.

The CLC plans to announce the winners of uncontested divisional posts and the list of delegates for the National Congress on May 1, 2025, based on their assessment.

This list will be officially submitted to the secretary-general's office to aid in the coordination and preparations for the upcoming National Congress, as well as the congresses for the party's youth wing, Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK), and women's wing, Wanita PKR, scheduled for May 23 to 25.

For divisions that have raised objections, the review process is ongoing, and every objection submitted through the CLC's official channels will be thoroughly examined and fairly considered before a final decision is reached.

“The JPP urges all party members to remain calm, trust the ongoing process, and collaborate to maintain the party's harmony and unity,” she said.

Dr Zaliha also announced that re-elections for four divisions - Jempol, Selayang, Silam, and Semporna - will take place on May 1, with notifications to be sent out promptly to the respective divisions. – April 27, 2025
