A WOMAN who was also a student at a private university in Cyberjaya, was found dead, believed to have been murdered in her dormitory room on Tuesday morning.

The 20-year-old woman from Kuching, Sarawak was found with injuries to her body by her friend at about 10am, who immediately called the police.

Sources said the victim, who is  pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy at a university in Cyberjaya, lived in the room with five of her friends.

"However, five of the victim's friends had returned home on vacation since June 21, while the victim was living alone because she is scheduled to sit for an exam.

"So far, several valuables belonging to the victim, including her laptop, are believed to be missing," said the source.

Based on several viral video recordings, a team of police officers were seen carrying the victim's body out of her residence before being taken to the hospital for further investigation.

Meanwhile, the Sepang District Police, when contacted, said they would issue an official statement soon. – June 25, 2025
