DATUK Seri Rafizi Ramli will hold a press conference with several Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Members of Parliament tomorrow morning.

The Pandan Member of Parliament announced the matter himself through a post on his social media.

He said the press conference would be held at the Subang Parliament Public Service Centre at 9am.

“This press conference will also be broadcast live on my social media platforms,” he wrote briefly without providing any detailed information regarding the agenda or goal of the press conference.

This has left many observers and supporters puzzled.

Some predicted that the former Economy Minister would leave the party, but there were also those who still hoped that Rafizi would return to contribute significantly to strengthening PKR.

Last Friday, through the Yang Berhenti Menteri podcast, Rafizi hinted at leaving PKR after the end of this parliamentary term, thus not contesting the next general election (GE).

He said that he did not want to be part of the political 'culture' that the party demonstrated during the election last May.

However, several party insiders dismissed all talk of Rafizi leaving PKR nor withdrawing support for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“It is most likely about the recent appointments in the Judiciary and RMK13,” they said. – July 6, 2025
