A 15-YEAR-OLD boy who reportedly fell from the third floor of a school dormitory in Sabak Bernam remains unconscious, with police investigations ongoing, Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar confirmed on Thursday.

“He is still unconscious. The investigation is ongoing, as per my earlier media statement,” he said, as reported by Berita Harian.

The student, identified as Ahmad Irfan Ahmad Hanafi, a Form Three pupil, is currently receiving treatment at Hospital Sungai Buloh.

Police have opened an investigation paper under Section 31(1) of the Child Act 2001. Shazeli said the case is being probed from multiple angles, including the student’s safety, hostel management procedures, and the social background of both the student and his peers.

On Wednesday, it was reported that several school staff were among those questioned by police as part of the inquiry into the incident.

“Statements have been recorded from various parties, including school personnel,” Shazeli confirmed.

Authorities have not ruled out any possibilities and are continuing to gather information to determine the circumstances surrounding the fall. - August 28, 2025
