Hadi Awang, Tuan Ibrahim retain top two PAS positions unopposed

PAS President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang and his deputy Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man retained their respective positions uncontested for the 2025/2027 term in conjunction with the 71st PAS Muktamar.

Chairman of the Central PAS Election Committee (JKPP), Wan Rohimi Wan Daud said this was confirmed after all the nomination offer responses were received and scrutinized by the committee which convened on September 2.

Also winning uncontested were Hussin Ismail as Permanent Chairman, Kamal Shaari as Permanent Deputy Chairman, as well as three Vice Presidents, namely the Menteri Besar of Terengganu, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, Datuk Idris Ahmad and the Deputy Menteri Besar of Kelantan, Datuk Amar Abdullah.

Meanwhile, Wan Rohimi said that all positions in the Central PAS Ulama Council for the 2025/2027 session were uncontested.

The 71st Pas Muktamar will be held in Kota Sarang Semut from Sept 11 to 16.

Datuk Ahmad Yahaya, who is the Kedah PAS commissioner also returned as the Pas Ulama chief unopposed while Pasir Mas MP Ahmad Fadhli Shaari also won unopposed as the PAS youth chief.

Meanwhile, PAS Muslimat chief Dr Nuridah Salleh also retained her post for another term after winning uncontested. – September 4, 2025
