SINGAPORE – The Health Ministry has confirmed that one of the 10 imported Covid-19 cases announced yesterday is a 64-year-old Malaysian man with a travel history to Indonesia.

The senior citizen, who is a short-term visit pass holder, was isolated upon arrival here, it said in a statement last night.

“Case No. 58,757 is a caregiver to an individual who was already receiving medical care in Singapore and had returned for further treatment.”

All 10 imported infections registered yesterday are asymptomatic.

The republic has logged a total of 58,519 coronavirus cases, with 1,737 classified as imported, community (2,276) and foreign workers living in dormitories (54,506). – Bernama, December 27, 2020
