SINCE yesterday, social media platforms have been flooded with messages of gratitude to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for his tireless efforts in securing the release of 23 Malaysian volunteers from the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF), who had been detained by the Israeli army since last Thursday.

Netizens also expressed deep appreciation to the 23 volunteers for their courage and commitment in facing a challenging and uncertain situation.

Across various social media platforms, netizens expressed appreciation for the government’s continuous efforts, describing them as efficient, compassionate, and swift in securing the release of the 23 GSF heroes and heroines detained by the Zionist regime.

All Malaysian activists were released and departed from Ramon Airport in Israel at 6.45 pm Malaysian time yesterday, before arriving in Istanbul at 8.40 pm Malaysian time.

One netizen, Aman Nazman, expressed gratitude to Allah and extended his appreciation to the Prime Minister, government leaders, and the GSF volunteers, reported Bernama.

“PMX’s (Anwar’s) approach in handling the GSF incident demonstrates great wisdom in managing international conflicts. Through strategic relations with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkiye, Malaysia successfully leveraged diplomatic channels in both Turkiye and Israel to secure the swift release of the Malaysian activists.

“This action proves that the PMX leadership is visionary, influential, and respected on the global stage,” he said in a comment on Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan’s Facebook post, which shared the latest photo of the activists last night.

Another Facebook user, Irfan Mustafa, also congratulated the government for its efficiency in assisting the detained activists.

“Alhamdulillah, fast and efficient. This shows the importance of having a leader with strong diplomatic skills like Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who has also built good relations with countries around the world,” he said.

Meanwhile, another user, Bai Cam, expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his courage and unwavering commitment in defending the welfare of Malaysians while continuing to champion the struggle of the Palestinian people.

“Malaysia’s voice in the fight for justice and freedom continues to be heard because of courageous leadership. Alhamdulillah, may this struggle always be blessed,” he said in the comments section of the same post.

Meanwhile, another Facebook user, Mohd Yazid, commented on the Prime Minister’s post announcing the safe arrival of the 23 Malaysian volunteers in Turkiye last night, expressing his gratitude and praying for the safety of all GSF activists.

“Alhamdulillah, thanks be to Allah who granted strength and patience to all the activists. May everyone remain healthy and return safely to their beloved families. A million thanks to the Prime Minister for his tireless efforts in coordinating all diplomatic channels to bring our Malaysians home,” he said.

Netizens also extended their gratitude to President Erdogan and other world leaders who played a key role in facilitating the release of all Malaysian activists and volunteers.

Last Thursday, 23 Malaysian activists participating in the GSF mission were detained by the Israeli army after their vessel was intercepted in the R3 Red Zone waters of the Mediterranean Sea, before being taken to the port of Ashdod, Israel.

The Malaysians detained included singer Heliza Helmi and her sister, Nur Hazwani Afiqah (Hio vessel); Nurfarahin Romli (Farah Lee) and Danish Nazran Murad (Grande Blu vessel); singer Zizi Kirana (Huga vessel); Musa Nuwayri, Iylia Balqis, Sul Aidil (Alma vessel); Haikal Abdullah, Muaz Zainal, Zulfadhli Khiruddin and Rusydi Ramli (Sirius vessel).
