DISCUSSIONS whether Barisan Nasional (BN) will work with Pakatan Harapan (PH) to face the Sabah State Election (PRN) are still ongoing.
Wanita DAP Chief, Teo Nie Ching said the decision that BN will not work with PH following their refusal to work with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) has not yet been finalised.
"The statement about Sabah BN not wanting to work with PH in the Sabah PRN, I think the claim is not true. Maybe it is just a personal opinion by some individuals.
"As far as I know, there are indeed negotiations underway between PH and BN, but I am not involved in the negotiations," she said as reported by Harian Metro in Hutan Bandar Putra Kulai, today.
Teo, who is also Johor DAP Chairman, hoped that Johor BN would be happy to collaborate with PH in the Johor state election expected in 2027.
"Regarding the Johor election, we are still continuing discussions. We hope that cooperation can be established between PH and BN," she said.
On another development, Teo, who is also Deputy Minister of Communications, called on Malaysians not to politicise the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) movement, but rather to give full support to efforts to fight for the global humanitarian initiative for the Palestinian people.
The Kulai MP asked people of various backgrounds not to be divided over the matter because such a humanitarian mission deserves the strong support of all the people.
"Let's all support this effort together. I think all the volunteers who went on the mission did a noble thing.
"So, let's all support them and there is no need to politicise this issue, we support their efforts and also the government's in bringing them home," she said.
Teo also said that they had not received any information over any social media posts regarding the GSF that had been taken down. – October 5, 2025
