PARTI Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) has sacked Supreme Leadership Council Member Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan for violating the party's constitution and code of ethics.
In a separate action, Machang member of Parliament Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal was suspended for a period of one term under Clause 22.5 of the Bersatu Constitution.
According to an official statement by the Bersatu Disciplinary Board, the decision was made after receiving written complaints from party members against several individuals who allegedly violated the provisions of the constitution and the code of conduct for members.
A hearing was held on 8 October 2025, and disciplinary action was taken based on a thorough investigation and in accordance with Clause 9.1.4 and the Code of Ethics & Conduct for Members.
Apart from Wan Saiful, four other members were also sacked, namely Mohd Azrudin Md Idris, Mohd Faizal Asmar, Mohd Fahdli Ismail and Mohd Isa Mohd Saidi.
The Disciplinary Board stressed that all decisions were made independently, transparently and fairly without outside interference.
Members who are subject to action have the right to appeal to the Appeals Board within 14 days.
“The Disciplinary Board calls on all members to continue to abide by the constitution and code of ethics in order to maintain the integrity and good name of the party,” the statement said. - October 14, 2025
