POLICE have referred the investigation papers regarding a sexual misconduct case involving four male Form Five students and a female Form Three student at a school in Melaka to the Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) for further action.

Melaka Police Chief, Datuk Dzulkhairi Mukhtar said the decision whether all the students will be charged is expected to be known in the near future.

"The investigation papers have been completed and finalized. We are awaiting instructions from the DPP whether to charge all of them this week or otherwise," he said.

It was earlier reported that the serial rape incident occurred at around 2.50pm on October 2 in a classroom at a school in Alor Gajah and the act was recorded using a mobile phone by two of the suspects.

The incident came to light after the victim's mother received information about the video being circulated from a school teacher before filing a police report.

Following this, the four suspects were remanded from last Saturday until this Thursday and the case is being investigated under Section 375B of the Penal Code. - October 15, 2025
