THE Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) today announced that public and private institutions of higher learning in the Klang Valley may conduct online or physical Teaching and Learning ( (PdP) sessions during the 47th ASEAN Summit.
In a statement today, MOHE urged higher education institutions, particularly those located in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Putrajaya, to review the locations, time and dates of the road closures that would be implemented from Oct 26 from 28.
According to MOHE, this aims to help institutions assess the need for online PdP sessions to ensure that their staff and students are not affected by traffic disruptions caused by road closures during the summit period.
“This flexibility is provided to ensure the well-being of IPT staff and students, allowing them to plan their movements while ensuring that the teaching and learning process runs smoothly,” according to the statement reported by Bernama.
The ministry also advised students and IPT staff who may be affected to contact their respective IPTs to obtain further information.
It was previoulsy reported that six major highways and 25 major roads across the Klang Valley will be gradually diverted in conjunction with the 47th ASEAN Summit 2025, which is set to take place from Oct 26 to 28.
Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) director Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said the affected highways include the North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE), New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), Guthrie Corridor Expressway, North-South Expressway, MEX Highway, and KL-Seremban Expressway.
Meanwhile, among the roads affected are the Lebuh Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Putrajaya Ring Road, as well as several major roads in the city, such as Jalan Istana, Jalan Damansara, Jalan Tun Abdul Razak, Jalan Ampang, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Jalan Parlimen, and Jalan Kuching.
