POLICE have arrested a male suspect believed to be involved in a robbery case, then hit a police officer at a petrol station in Persiaran Raja Muda Musa in Klang, yesterday.
South Klang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Ramli Kasa said that in the incident at about 2.30 pm, the police team came across a white Toyota Vios car which was suspected of being used in a previous robbery case in Subang Jaya.
“When the police were about to arrest the driver (suspect) of the car involved at the petrol station, the suspect acted aggressively, pushing the police officer and fleeing in his car.
“At that time, the suspect’s car hit and almost ran over a police officer’s leg. He also hit the car being used by the police, before driving against the flow on Persiaran Raja Muda Musa towards Shah Alam.
“The suspect then abandoned his car on the side of Persiaran Sultan Ibrahim, before fleeing.
“In this incident, the personnel involved was injured and being treated at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) and the car was also damaged,” he said in a statement today.
Ramli said the South Klang Police Headquarters Criminal Investigation Division had opened an investigation paper under Sections 186 and 307 of the Penal Code for obstructing a public servant and attempted murder.
“Acting on information, at about 12.45 midnight yesterday, the police managed to arrest the suspect in the Bandar Bukit Tinggi area.
“The suspect is a 33-year-old local man with 20 previous criminal records and five drug records.
“Further investigations will continue regarding the suspect’s involvement in crime,” he added.
At the same time, he said, the incident did not involve a shooting as claimed on social media.
“That was not a bullet or a pistol. That was a part of a key,” he said.
Earlier, a video recorded by a member of the public at the scene of the incident went viral on social media, showing the suspect's fleeing vehicle.
In the video, a white vehicle believed to be driven by the suspect drove away after the incident, leaving the victim on the floor. - November 13, 2025
