KTM Komuter and Electric Train Service (ETS) operations were severely disrupted this morning after an overhead line was severed between Salak Selatan and Serdang at 7.23am.
The incident forced affected sections to operate on a single track, causing delays and service terminations.
“Following this disruption, KTM Komuter trains from Pulau Sebang and Sungai Gadut bound for Batu Caves were terminated at Kajang Station. Meanwhile, commuter services from Batu Caves heading south were stopped at KL Sentral,” KTMB said.
Several ETS services were also affected. Train EP9511 (KL Sentral – Kluang) experienced delays exceeding 120 minutes and was hauled by a relief locomotive from Salak Selatan to Kajang. ETS EG9420 (Segamat – Padang Besar) and EP9510 (Kluang – KL Sentral) were similarly diverted or terminated, with passengers advised to use alternative transport.
KTMB confirmed that affected passengers are eligible to claim fare refunds or fare differences via the KITS application or at ticket counters. Technical teams are on site, with repair works underway, and updates will be provided via KTMB social media channels.
“KTMB apologises for the inconvenience and appreciates the patience and cooperation of all passengers during this disruption,” the operator added. - November 30, 2025
