BARISAN Nasional (BN) has submitted a list of candidates to be considered for the positions of ministers and deputy ministers in the new Sabah State Cabinet.
BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi confirmed the matter and said the state government had asked supporting parties to submit their respective candidates for consideration of appointment.
"For the Sabah PRN, government formation will be done as soon as possible. We appreciate the cooperation of various parties other than GRS (Gabungan Rakyat Sabah) which is going well.
"In fact, I have personally contacted the new Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, as well as Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, to stabilise politics in Sabah," he said after attending a brief briefing on the flood disaster in Bagan Datuk today.
He also commented BN's performance in the Sabah State Election (PRN), recently.
Ahmad Zahid, who is also Deputy Prime Minister, stressed that the priority now is to ensure political stability in Sabah so that the state's development can continue, including plans related to electricity supply, water and road infrastructure.
"What is important is that the well-being of the people and the aspirations of Sabah Maju Jaya can be fully implemented," he said as reported by Bernama.
After the 17th Sabah PRN, Ahmad Zahid announced that BN is ready to work with like-minded parties to form a new government, in order to ensure political stability in the state. - December 1, 2025
