A LATE-afternoon fire in Sungai Sedu, Banting, destroyed eight vehicles inside a paint workshop and razed a neighbouring house, after what is believed to have been a lightning strike.

Kuala Langat District Police Chief Superintendent Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi said members of the public first noticed the fire at around 5pm.

“Following an interview with Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, the fire is believed to have been caused by a lightning strike,” he said in a statement.
