THE former Army Chief (PTD) and his two wives arrived at the Putrajaya Court Complex at 10.02 am today for their remand application.
This is in connection with the investigation into a corruption case involving an Army procurement tender.
The three individuals were brought in two Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) vehicles.
They were seen wearing orange attire and handcuffs when they were brought into the court premises.
It was earlier reported that the MACC confirmed that it would apply for a remand order against the three individuals involved after they were arrested when they appeared to give statements at the MACC Putrajaya Headquarters around 3pm yesterday.
A husband and wife who own a company were also remanded for seven days yesterday to assist in the investigation of the same case.
MACC Chief Commissioner, Tan Sri Azam Baki previously said the former PTD was arrested after he was allowed to leave the hospital following treatment for high blood pressure.
He also informed that the MACC had detected an attempt to flee with cash of approximately RM2.4 million, which is believed to be related to the investigation into the procurement tender case.
According to him, the money was believed to have been transferred from one house to another by an individual who was identified as having links to the case.
In a related development, the MACC had previously also remanded 17 company directors suspected of being involved in the tender cartel network for the procurement project. – January 8, 2026
