A LORRY driver pleaded not guilty in the Muar Sessions Court today to raping his cousin last year.

The act resulted in the teenage victim giving birth to a baby girl.

The 28-year-old accused made the plea to all charges brought against him under Section 376 (2) (d) of the Penal Code, before Judge Mohd Khairi Haron.

He was charged with raping his 13-year-old cousin during an incident at a house in Batu Pahat, on the nights of April, May and July last year.

The court did not offer bail; instead ordered the accused to be sent to the Permai Hospital in Johor Bahru to undergo a psychiatric examination. – February 23, 2026
