A PASSENGER from China on a Malaysia Airlines flight was escorted off the plane by security after he allegedly inappropriately touched a female flight attendant.
The incident was captured in a video uploaded by a Reddit user in which a flight stewardess, believed to be the victim, questioned the perpetrator before security escorted him off the plane.
The incident reportedly took place in Kuala Lumpur, before MH318 took off to Beijing, past midnight on April 8.
In an effort to defend himself, the perpetrator is said to have attributed China and Malaysia to having very good diplomatic relations.
“I only patted (your buttocks) lightly. How is that considered (as molestation)? And you’re not going to let me fly because of this?” he asked.
"That's considered light?" the flight stewardess countered.
She then firmly stated that he cannot continue on the flight because his attitude was unreasonably difficult.
The perpetrator also challenged the air stewardess to back up her allegations by pulling out the aircraft’s CCTV footage.
"This counts as sexual harassment? Even in Singapore, this wouldn't count as sexual harassment, right?" he asked.
The flight attendant then asked him to please respect the rules there.
He was later unwillingly escorted out of the plane by two security officers, and down the aisle. – April 9, 2026
