THE prime minister has paid tribute to the country’s firefighters, praising their swift response and professionalism in emergencies as critical to limiting national losses and sustaining development.
In a message marking International Firefighters’ Day, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim highlighted the broader significance of their service, describing their contributions as vital not only to saving lives and property but also to supporting the nation’s long-term resilience and wellbeing.
Anwar expressed his appreciation in a Facebook post, commending the dedication and sacrifices of fire and rescue personnel across the country.
“May all firefighters and rescue personnel always be protected, granted strength and resilience in carrying out their duties, and continue to be given perseverance in serving tirelessly,” he said in conjunction with International Firefighters’ Day.
He said the role of firefighters extends beyond emergency response, underscoring their importance as a pillar in maintaining public safety and enabling continued national progress.
