King to undergo further treatment for back and hip musculoskeletal condition
Doctors advise His Majesty to rest to support his recovery - July 31, 2026

HIS Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, will undergo follow-up treatment for a musculoskeletal condition affecting the muscles and bones in his back and hip areas.

Istana Negara, in a Facebook post, said His Majesty had been advised by medical specialists to rest before receiving further treatment, allowing the recovery process to progress.

Due to the medical advice, Sultan Ibrahim will not attend the Warriors’ Day Celebration Parade at Dataran Pahlawan Negara, Putrajaya, which is being held today.

The announcement was issued by Istana Negara on Friday.

In a separate message, His Majesty conveyed his Warriors’ Day greetings to all personnel of the Malaysian Armed Forces and the Royal Malaysia Police, recognising their dedication and sacrifices in safeguarding the country.

His Majesty expressed his deepest appreciation to members of the security forces for their unwavering commitment in protecting Malaysia’s sovereignty, peace and the well-being of its people.

“Happy Warriors’ Day. Your services and sacrifices will always be etched in our memories. May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala continue to protect all members of the security forces in every duty they undertake,” said His Majesty.

The annual Warriors’ Day commemorates the courage, dedication and sacrifices of Malaysia’s security personnel in preserving national peace and security. - July 31, 2026.
