KUALA LUMPUR – The Johor Baru City Square mall remains open despite an outlet worker testing positive for Covid-19.

In a Facebook post, the mall management said the case, detected yesterday, involves an employee at a Gong Cha outlet on the third floor.

The shopping complex, however, remains open, with only the outlet closed for sanitisation.

Sanitisation work in the mall is being conducted daily, said the management, adding that the Gong Cha store will be closed until further notice.

The mall, located 7km from the Singapore-Johor Baru border, is popular among Johoreans and Singaporeans.

Yesterday, another mall in Johor Baru, namely Plaza Pelangi, said the Health Ministry has confirmed that a computer outlet worker tested positive for Covid-19. – The Vibes, January 6, 2021
