THE Works Ministry has been urged to direct the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) to submit a written explanation and supporting evidence within seven days over the capabilities and development of the TuJu navigation application.
Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng said LLM must clarify several issues, including briefings given to the Prime Minister, the selection of Prosignal as the application developer, potential conflicts of interest, user data security and any financial liabilities incurred by the authority.
"The explanation must be made public so that the people can assess the matter for themselves. Only information that is genuinely confidential should be withheld.
"If serious negligence or misconduct is established, firm action must be taken. Do not make junior officers scapegoats when decisions were made by top management," he said in a statement today.
Lim welcomed Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil's remarks that LLM's top management should be held accountable if the government had been given misleading information about the capabilities of the TuJu application.
Fahmi had said that any information presented by LLM representatives during meetings concerning the issue must be accounted for by the organisation.
He added that the authority's senior management must take responsibility if investigations establish that inaccurate information had been conveyed to the government. - November 1, 2026
