MIRI – More than 1,000 government and government-aided primary schools in Sarawak will reopen on Monday.
The state Disaster Management Committee (DMC) secretariat, in a statement, said the decision concerning the 1,045 schools was made in consultation with the Education and Health Departments.
“These schools will reopen on March 8 for face-to-face classes.
“Another 220 schools in high-risk zones will reopen starting March 14.”

The secretariat said pupils, parents and teachers are reminded that health and safety standard operating procedures must always be heeded.
Sarawak today sees its second consecutive day without new Covid-19 deaths.
However, it logged 250 fresh infections.
The state DMC secretariat said Sibu district registered 123 new cases, followed by Meradong (36), Bintulu (21), Kapit (17), Miri (14) and other districts (fewer than 10).
There are 25 active coronavirus clusters statewide.
Sibu Hospital is treating 957 Covid-19 patients, followed by Miri Hospital (300), Kapit Hospital (140), Sarawak General Hospital in Kuching (295), Bintulu Hospital (375), Sarikei Hospital (156), Betong Hospital (170) and Sri Aman Hospital (20). – The Vibes, March 5, 2021
