KOTA KINABALU — Sabah yesterday registered 271 new Covid-19 cases, five deaths and a new cluster, according to data released from the Ministry of Health.

According to a statement by Sabah health director Datuk Dr Christina Rundi, Kota Kinabalu recorded 95 new cases, Sandakan (35), Tuaran (35) Tawau (25),  Papar (19), Semporna (17), Kunak (nine), Putatan (nine), Lahad Datu (five), Penampang (five), Kota Belud (four), Tambunan (three), Tenom (Three), Kinabatangan (two), Ranau (two), one each in Beaufort and Sipitang.

The state also recorded five deaths due to Covid-19, involving four men and one woman, aged between 53 and 82.

Two deaths were recorded at Tawau Hospital and one each in Lahad Datu and Sandakan.

Total cumulative number of cases in Sabah stands at 3,290 with 1,943 active cases and 1,325 recovered. — The Vibes, October 9, 2020
