MIRI – Eight more fatalities were recorded in Sarawak today, along with four new outbreak-clusters and 699 new infections as the Covid-19 crisis persists in this vast state.

As for the four new outbreaks, the secretariat said the Kg Kolong 2 Cluster in Kuching was due to a Hari Raya gathering, which caused 36 villagers to be infected by Covid-19.

The Pekan Baru cluster in Tatau district saw 27 workers from a factory and a longhouse infected, while the Sg Kakus Cluster in Tatau saw 51 folks in a longhouse and nearby oil palm estate contracting the virus.
