KUALA LUMPUR – Kedah PAS Youth is calling on its divisions in the state to lodge police reports on defamatory provocation aimed at Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor.

The state’s party youth chief Nurul Amin Hamid said there have been many provocative statements by certain parties to “threaten the menteri besar’s credibility and reputation”.

Amin added that legal action will be taken against selected “haters”.

“We have collected all the evidence. Haters, pray you won’t be the chosen ones.”

Party organ Harakahdaily reported Amin as saying that Youth wings in Jerlun, Kubang Pasu, Padang Terap, and Sg Petani have lodged reports, while 11 more are expected to do so in the near future.

He said the report should appeal to the authorities to investigate the issues under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and Section 509 of the Penal Code.

His urging came after a viralled image of Sanusi allegedly likened to the 4Gplus yellow icon with words such as “Plan Menipu, Bodoh Unlimited” and others. – The Vibes, August 1, 2021
