KUALA LUMPUR – The Yang di-Pertuan Agong met Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob at Istana Abdulaziz in Kuantan for 90 minutes today over the cabinet line-up.
Istana Negara, in a Facebook post, said Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah also had lunch with Ismail Sabri.
This is the second time the prime minister met the king after the former was sworn in on Saturday.
The cabinet list is a long-awaited one, with speculation of behind-the-scenes dealings rife since the swearing in.
Ismail Sabri left the palace about 1.20pm.
The vehicle carrying him was seen entering the Perdana Putra complex in Putrajaya at 3.37pm.
It is learnt that he is scheduled to chair his first cabinet meeting tomorrow.
The Prime Minister’s Office also revealed that there would be no announcement of the cabinet line-up by Ismail Sabri today. – The Vibes, August 26, 2021
