KUALA LUMPUR – The Dewan Rakyat meetings will end early for today and the next two days.

The motion, similar to the one yesterday was tabled by Minister in Prime Minister’s Department (Law) Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan as the first item in the Dewan Rakyat meeting today.

“According to Standing Orders 12 (1) I would like to propose that the meetings for today, Tuesday –November 3, Wednesday – November 4, and Thursday – November 5, 2020, will meet from 10am to 1pm,” said Takiyuddin.

The motion was supported by Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin and was passed by the members of the House.

Yesterday, the Lower House agreed to adjourn early at 1pm in a bid to mitigate the risk of Covid-19 infection after Parliament staff contracted the virus.

It was later found out that the staff were actually aides to a Dewan Negara senator. – The Vibes, November 3, 2020
