KUALA LUMPUR – The Health Ministry recorded 1,032 new Covid-19 cases today.
There were also eight new deaths, bringing the death toll to 271 deaths.
During today's press conference on new Covid-19 developments, Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Malaysia has recorded a total 35,425 cases.
“Sabah still has the highest number of new cases at 646 cases which is 62.6% of total daily cases. The states in the Klang Valley recorded 244 new cases or 23.6% of the daily cases. Meanwhile, Labuan recorded 28 new cases (2.7%),” he said.
Out of the 1,032 new cases, three are imported cases involving non-Malaysians from India, Singapore and the Philippines.
The ministry recorded 82 patients in intensive care, with 27 of them requiring breathing assistance.
On a positive note, the nation recorded 820 patients who have recovered, leading to a cumulative total of 24,815 Covid-19 survivors.
Meanwhile, the six new clusters were detected, namely Penjara Sandakan, Dialisis and Sepanggar in Sabah; Aero and Lengkuk (Selangor) and Gading (Putrajaya). – The Vibes, November 4, 2020
