KUALA LUMPUR – Covid-19 booster dose recipients are reminded to complete their digital consent in the MySejahtera app before heading to the respective vaccination centres.

On its Twitter page, the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee (JKJAV) shared a screenshot of the consent form that can be found below the booster appointment details.

In the digital consent form, you are also asked to disclose if you had:

- experienced any side effects after obtaining any previous vaccination(s)

- ever had a history of severe allergy

- pregnant or planning to conceive

- currently breastfeeding

JKJAV also issued an advisory for those who have received their Covid-19 vaccine booster dose to not do any strenuous activities for a week.

Other activities that one should do after receiving the booster dose are:

- stay in observation room for at least 15 minutes

- inform health workers or seek medical treatment if experiencing any severe side effects

- continue to adopt the new norms and follow Covid-19 prevention measures

- keep the vaccination card provided by the health worker

Today will also see the reopening of two integrated vaccination centres here – the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTC KL) and Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil.

Kuala Lumpur vaccination centre coordinator Dr Misliza Ahmad said the Health Ministry has been making preparations since Wednesday, including a dry run yesterday, to enable both the centres providing the AstraZeneca booster jabs to operate smoothly.

More than 300 staff and volunteers, including from the Malaysia Vaccine Support Volunteers, police, Civil Defence Force, People’s Volunteer Corps and armed forces, will assist in the immunisation programme at the two centres.

She said the WTC KL centre will provide a total of 9,000 doses of booster jabs daily, while the Axiata Arena centre will be dispensing 8,000 doses, adding that it would take each individual about 30 minutes to complete the process of receiving their booster shot. – The Vibes, January 14, 2022
