KUALA LUMPUR – An accident involving eight vehicles and a container lorry caused massive traffic congestion at the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) this morning.
According to Astro Radio Traffic, the accident caused two lanes of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway to be blocked, leading to a three-hour and 24-km jam after the Gombak toll.

The right & middle lanes are blocked, causing a 3 HOUR jam towards the location.

Drivers passing by the scene of the accident have also posted videos of the incident on social media, with road users lending a hand to help those whose vehicles were involved in the accident.
Meanwhile, Bentong police chief Zaihan Mohd Kahar said in a statement that the accident involved two multi-purpose vehicles (MPV), five cars, a pick-up truck and the trailer lorry.
He said investigations found that the trailer was driven by a 42-year-old man from Kuala Lumpur and that he was heading towards Kuantan when he lost control.
The accident caused the driver of the trailer to suffer light injuries, while the drivers of other vehicles suffered no injuries.
The accident is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transportation Act for alleged careless and inconsiderate driving. – The Vibes, January 29, 2022
