KOTA KINABALU – Sabah’s Covid-19 daily caseload remains high with 5,359 new infections registered in the state today, a decrease of only 206 cases from yesterday’s 5,565. 

Sabah Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun tweeted today that the state should expect for the Covid-19 cases to be high, in tandem with the high percentage of sporadic and community infections in many districts. 

He said 61.4% of today’s new cases are sporadic. 

In Kota Kinabalu, he said 62.5% of the new cases are sporadic, followed by Penampang (64.1%), Tuaran (56.3%), Putatan (75.5%), Lahad Datu (62.3%), Tawau (73.6%) and Sandakan (83%).

Masidi added that 99.66% of the new cases are in Categories 1 and 2, which include those with mild symptoms. – The Vibes, February 19, 2022
