KUALA LUMPUR – The Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) wants the one-off payment for 100,000 Health Ministry frontliners announced in Budget 2021 to be given to their non-medical peers as well.

Its president, Adnan Mat, said all frontliners, including those in law enforcement, have played a significant role in curbing Covid-19.

In view of this, he said in a statement today, Cuepacs proposes that frontliners not with the Health Ministry be given a RM300 one-off payment.

He added that the congress has asked the ministry to ensure an adequate supply of protective equipment for those on the front line of the fight against the coronavirus, and hand sanitiser at health facilities nationwide.
