KOTA KINABALU – The delay in the disbursement of the RM600 cash aid to school bus operators in Sabah was due to errors made by applicants in filling up the online application forms, said Sabah Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB) chairman Datuk Chin Kim Hiung today.

Chin said some of the forms were left incomplete or had errors that CVLB officers needed to resolve before submitting to the relevant authorities for processing.

“Sabah School Bus Operators Association chairman Lee Man Keong took the initiative to contact me to ask about the delay almost two weeks ago, and I had clarified the matter with him.

“Unfortunately, he was informed by his officers that nobody had contacted the Sabah CVLB office in Kota Kinabalu to ask about the status of their applications.

“Rest assured, we are currently waiting for the funds to be channelled to us for distribution to all eligible applicants. The delay is due to errors in filling the forms online,” he said in response to several school bus operators who took their complaints to a Sabah DAP leader recently.

Chin said CVLB would have explained matters if the applicants had called in instead of going to a third party to ask about the cash aid. – The Vibes, November 12, 2020
